Privacy notice

Wild about Scotland is a personal blog that provides articles, blog posts, product reviews and occasional online competitions.  I take the privacy of your data very seriously.  This privacy notice sets out what data I hold about you, how I use it, and how you can ask me to share it with you or to delete it.

My site collects some information automatically.  This includes anonymised and aggregated data on site traffic.  It also includes cookies that Automattic (the company that runs the WordPress.com platform) uses to help identify and track visitors.  Visitors to my site are asked to consent to cookies being used.  You can also remove or block these by viewing the WordPress Cookie Policy.

Site visitors also provide some information voluntarily by agreeing to follow my blog (either directly on my site or on Bloglovin’), leaving comments and sending enquiries to me via my site’s contact form.  This includes names, website URLs, IP addresses and e-mail addresses.  Notifications of new blog posts are generated automatically using the information followers provide.

I use the information you choose to share with me to enhance discussion about my articles and posts, to manage blog competition entries and to reply to your e-mail enquiries.  I store your data securely and do not share your information with anyone else.  I do not sell your data or use it for marketing purposes, do not advertise on my site, do not issue e-mail newsletters and do not use Google Analytics.

You can ask me to share, amend or delete the information I hold about you at any time by either unsubscribing or using the contact form (“Get in Touch”).
