What do you do when you’re researching a trip or holiday ?  How do you get the lowdown on the best places to go and places to stay ?  How do you find insider tips from locals, or discussions by people who have questions just like you ?

I often look for just this kind of advice when I’m travelling somewhere new so I’m pleased to support “I Know Scotland“, a new online community on Scottish tourism that’s hosted by VisitScotland.

The site covers lots of different topics: where to go, things to do, Scotland’s islands, where to stay and so on.  So whether you want to know where to find the best beaches, the best fish and chip shops or unusual places to sleep, it’s sure to become a fantastic resource.  I’m pleased to be an ‘Ambassador’ on the site, helping to populate some of the content before it went live this week along with a bunch of other bloggers and instagrammers.

so please, take a look and join the discussion !
